Fringe Review – Frolic & Follies ★★★★

Shake the dust off that feather boa, shine up the mirror ball and get ready to be shown a fabulously good time with Frolic & Follies, brought to you by local Adelaide talent Precizion Dance.

Frolic and Follies showcases some amazing dancers covering a variety of genres – from burlesque to disco and everything in-between. The performance is high energy from start to finish with a spectacular soundtrack that will have you dancing in your seat!

The soundtrack is further elevated with the remarkable vocals of Alex, who does not seem to miss a note, and sings with such power and passion it will leave you with goose bumps and rallying with her on her quest for love!

We also get a bit of light-hearted entertainment with our two token males in the show, which are both trying to seduce our heroine Alex, and getting into brawls in the mean time!

One of the most impressive aspects of the show has to be the costumes. Each number seems to feature a different costume, each more impressive that the last. Think feathers, diamantes, bright colours, garish head pieces and perhaps you’re part way there!

Frolic & Follies truly is a show that is a feast for the senses, all the while celebrating some of our local talent. There is something for everyone of all ages and tastes to enjoy, as nothing can really beat the glitz and glam of cabaret, with a little bit of female self-empowerment sprinkled on top for good measure!
