Ronnie James Dio (born 10 July 1942) was arguably the greatest heavy metal singer of all time. His powerful vocals and stage presence in Rainbow and Black Sabbath as well as his solo career were incredibly influential, and that influence is still felt by his peers as well as emerging metal acts around the world.

Australia’s premier tribute to Black Sabbath and Dio, LIVE EVIL, is putting together a huge two hour set of classic Sabbath and Dio ahead of Dio’s birthday this year. Expect to hear all the classics from Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules along with a selection of metal anthems from Dio’s pre and post-Sabbath career. We’ll even throw in some Ozzy Osbourne era Sabbath for the completists!

Joining LIVE EVIL will be very special guests KILLED BY DEATH who will perform a career-spanning set from speed metal pioneers MOTORHEAD. With Chris McEwen channelling Lemmy at his peak, this is a must-see show for fans of British rock and metal.

This is the biggest metal double header of the year, so get your mates together and get ready to raise a glass (and your horns) with LIVE EVIL and KILLED BY DEATH in honour of Dio’s birthday on Saturday 2 July.
