Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga will welcome Fool’s Paradise during the 2023 Adelaide Fringe Festival, with the southern side to be taken over by two new venues, The Vault and The Pyramid; promising a wild ride of physical performance.
From February 15 to March 19 (excluding Mondays), Fool’s Paradise will host more than 25 Fringe acts in its inaugural program across venues The Vault and The Pyramid. Entry to the Fool’s Paradise outside area is free, hosting food trucks and outdoor shows such as trapeze
acts. Organiser, Thomas Gorham, says Fool’s Paradise will bring excitement to a much-loved city location.
“Fool’s Paradise is designed especially for Adelaide,” says Thomas. “We’re excited to bring great venues and great performances in a new dedicated Adelaide Fringe Festival hub.” Known for its repertoire of late-night adult circus, Melbourne based circus group; Head First Acrobats, will be performing Crème de la Crème, GODZ and Pre-Hysterical across this year’s Fringe in The Vault. Other acts in The Vault include children/cabaret performer Paul Dabek with two shows, and YUCK Circus with YUCK Circus: Deadset.

It will also be home to multiple music extravaganzas, including Wonderfull! A Celebration of Stevie Wonder, 80s Ladies, and Remember the Time: a Michael Jackson Tribute.
Another headliner from The Pyramid is Fringe ambassador Penny Arcade, performing her show The Art of Becoming Episode 3: “Superstar Interrupted”.
Fool’s Paradise will also have a selection of Adelaide specialty food trucks on site and bespoke bars open late into the evening.
Among the local suppliers offering food and beverages are The Filipino Project, known for their Filipino street food packed with exotic flavour, and Pizza Reggina, fast becoming a new favourite for mobile pizza across Adelaide.
Smooth Operators are new kids on the block offering smoothies for those more health conscious, while for others, classic donuts will be an appealing option.
Hither and Yon and Pirate Life will both operate 20-foot containers to satisfy wine and beer lovers. Fool’s Paradise has its official opening night in Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga on Friday, 17th February and closes on Sunday, 19th March 2023.
