Kate Smurthwaite is bringing her 19th solo show to this year’s Adelaide Fringe. In Fire Snake, she invites us to contemplate whether being foot soldiers in the death march of disaster capitalism is really as much fun as we hoped. Join the comedian and activist for a brilliant (achievable) alternative future. With punchlines.
Tickets available now at Adelaide Fringe.
Fire Snake is about the need to bring imagination and new ideas from around the world to solve our political problems. Political comedy wrapped up in a wild adventure story.
“Fun, energetic and full of ideas” – John Cleese
“Kate Smurthwaite is smart and funny and outrageous all at the same time. If you miss her show, you’re only hurting yourself.” – Tom Ballard
At FringeWorld in Perth, the show got ★★★★★ from FringeFeed “laughing almost non- stop with occasional pauses for applause…see it if you can…it’s worth the money just to hear why it’s called ‘Fire Snake’”!
Kate Smurthwaite is one of the world’s best recognised political comedians. As seen on BBC, Sky News, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and ABC in Australia.
