This November, join Marie Clark Musical Theatre (MCMT) for the exciting South Australian premiere of the hilarious musical comedy, TWISTED: THE UNTOLD STORY OF A ROYAL VIZIER!
ABOUT THE SHOW
TWISTED re-tells the familiar story of Disney’s Aladdin… but from the villain’s point of view!
Ja’far is a hardworking, honest politician in a magic kingdom that has fallen on hard times. Corruption is rampant on all levels, crime is up (thanks to the notorious thief, Aladdin!) and the kingdom is on the verge of bankruptcy. When the naive princess angers the Prince of Pik-Zahr, Ja’far remembers a tale of an all-powerful Djinn, hidden in a common lamp. To save the day and ensure a happy ending for all, Ja’far must do everything he can to get his hands on that lamp, even when the road gets a little… twisted!
Originally produced by the comedic geniuses at StarKid Productions, fans of hit musicals like WICKED and THE BOOK OF MORMON will relish this outrageous musical parody that cheekily pays tribute to all things Disney and which will have you wondering: who’s the true hero and villain of this story?
