Christmas has arrived at David Jones with its latest campaign –‘The Home of Christmas.’

The iconic department store tomorrow will also be welcoming back the much-loved Magic Cave to begin the 2024 festive season at David Jones.  From Saturday, 2nd November, Adelaide families will have the opportunity to take photos with Father Christmas at the Magic Cave in David Jones’ Adelaide Central Plaza store, continuing through to Tuesday, 24th December 2024.

David Jones Adelaide Central Plaza Store Manager, Natalie Demourtzidis, says creating special memories for families is what makes the Magic Cave such a wonderful place.

“The Magic Cave remains as enchanting to children now as it was to generations before, and it can’t be overestimated just how important it has been to Adelaide’s community since 1896,” says Natalie. “Our Christmas fairies will be greeting families as they wait excitedly to meet Father Christmas, and the vintage carousel will
provide joy and laughter to children.”

Full-service photographers will be capturing family memories as children meet Father Christmas in an immersive world. All photos are displayed in a custom David Jones frame and David Jones anticipates that in 2024, its Santa Photo service will capture close to 15,000 portraits nationally, with thousands of customers taking part in the family fun.The Magic Cave is one of many components to David Jones’ festive celebrations, with plenty of entertainment for the young – and young at heart – from now until Christmas Day.

Various packages with Father Christmas photos are available for families to purchase, with the opportunity for children to show their hand at art. Santa PAW-traits and Sensitive Santa sessions will also make their return.

In-store entertainment in coming weeks will include roving carolers and a brass band trio to inspire excitement and joy for the holiday season.
