This Christmas, Adelaide Arcade invites shoppers to experience a season filled with joy, community spirit, and local shopping delights. With an exciting lineup of holiday performances, charitable initiatives, and extended shopping hours, the Arcade continues to be the heart of festive celebrations in Adelaide.
The abundance of Christmas activities has been designed to make the most of the festive season and continue Adelaide Arcade’s commitment to providing a unique and memorable shopping experience. Adelaide Arcade, known as the Jewel of Adelaide, is set to enchant visitors with its holiday cheer.
Adelaide Arcade General Manager, Andrew Jonats shares his excitement this festive season. “Christmas is an important time for everyone, and we want shoppers to feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible ahead of the big day.
We hope that the performances, charity initiatives, and festive atmosphere we’ve planned will bring joy to all who visit,” says Andrew.
In the lead-up to Christmas, visitors can enjoy free, live performances by local artists. Woodville High School will perform on Friday, 6th December between 5-6pm, and High Spirits Harmony on Saturday, 14 December at 11am and 1pm, creating a lively and joyous atmosphere as shoppers go about their holiday preparations.
Adelaide Arcade’s beloved charity gift-wrapping service will return on Sunday, 1st December, run by volunteers from Minda. This year marks a milestone of $100,000 raised to date, with 100% of the proceeds supporting Minda’s programs in accommodation, respite, aged care, and employment services for people with disabilities.
To make holiday shopping even more special, Adelaide Arcade has created a Christmas Gift Guide, highlighting unique gift options from its diverse range of locally owned and operated stores. Shoppers are encouraged to explore the Arcade’s selection and support local South Australian businesses, making every purchase meaningful and community focused.
The arcade’s decorations, including the famed Santa figure, which has been a part of Adelaide Arcade for over 25 years, create a stunning backdrop for holiday photos. Shoppers are encouraged to capture their memories and tag @adelaidearcade on social media. Additionally, Adelaide Arcade will join Rundle Mall’s ‘Santa Course’, adding an interactive trail for visitors to enjoy.
For added convenience, Adelaide Arcade will offer extended trading hours throughout December, including New Year’s Eve from 9am to 5pm and New Year’s Day from 11am to 5pm. Full trading hours and more details can be found at adelaidearcade.com.au.
