ADELAIDE’S MULTICULTURAL EID FESTIVAL RETURNS BIGGER THAN EVER IN 2026

Adelaide’s much-loved Multicultural Eid Festival is back and bigger than ever, reflecting the city’s growing appetite for cultural experiences that bring the community together. This year sees the largest array of attractions alongside an expanded lineup of food vendors, including crowd favourites like Senor Tacos and a diverse mix of street food operators serving flavours from across the globe.

Taking over the Adelaide Showgrounds across Saturday, 11th April and Sunday, 12th April, the festival promises an unforgettable experience filled with rides, food, live entertainment and rich cultural experiences that will delight kids and adults alike. From high-energy attractions to relaxed family-friendly zones, there is something for everyone to enjoy across the two-day celebration.

After welcoming 20,000 visitors in 2025, the festival returns in 2026, scaled to meet rising demand, offering aneven more vibrant and inclusive celebration of Islamic and Australian culture for people of all ages, ethnicities and faiths.

Adelaide Multicultural Eid Festival spokesperson, Sophia Robertson, says, “It’s about creating a space where people can connect, celebrate and enjoy everything that makes our community unique.

“We have the largest array of rides at any event in Adelaide outside of the Royal Show, with a mix of thrilling rides, rollercoasters and fun adventures for the little ones, ensuring both kids and parents are entertained all day long,” Sophia says.

Sophia encourages making the most of the full experience by taking advantage of the unlimited rides pass, offering exceptional value for families and looking to enjoy everything on offer. With the unlimited rides pass available for just $50, the festival remains one of the most affordable large-scale events in the state.

“The festival celebrates Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan. It’s a beautiful time of year where people come together to pray, show gratitude through acts of charity, and break their fast after a month of fasting between dawn and sunset,” says Sophia.

While the festival has a large focus towards the Muslim community, everyone is encouraged to attend to celebrate an event of important cultural significance for many of Adelaide’s citizens.

Children under five are free with entry fees of $14 for adults, $10 for children. The unlimited ride pass is available for pre-purchase for $50, or $55 on the day.

Fireworks on Sunday night and interactive sessions with sporting clubs will provide great memories after the fun of rides and other experiences on offer. Sideshow games and showbags, stage shows, a petting zoo, a rock-climbing wall and camel rides are just some of the other activities patrons can choose to enjoy.

Adelaide’s Multicultural Eid Festival, a volunteer-run, not-for-profit community event, is at Adelaide Showgrounds from 12pm to 8:30pm on Saturday, 11 th and Sunday, 12 th April 2026.
