Mount Lofty House Adults Retreat will host a sumptuous Father’s Day dinner at Martha Hardy’s Restaurant on Sunday, 6th September 2026.
This sits alongside other offerings at the restaurant holding three Chef’s Hats, including gift vouchers, High Teas and the Ultimate Journey Dinner Experience.
Restaurant Manager, Fraser Bock, says “The Father’s Day dinner taking place in Martha Hardy’s Restaurant has curated two-course and three-course offerings, designed to showcase the finest seasonal ingredients while providing an exciting choice of beverage options for diners.”
Two-course menus for $159 per person can be used for entrée/mains or mains/desserts, while three-course menus for $219 per person cover all stages of the experience, including a paired beverage choice with each course.
Head Chef, Alessandro Mangione’s, imaginative flair, paired with wine recommended by Head Sommelier, Maxime Martin, or beer/spirit pairings by Bar Manager, Leo Segura, will create a memorable feast for the senses.
Pairings are highlighted on the menu ahead of booking for complete understanding and reveal the creativity of what’s on offer. All dishes are welcomed with an amuse-bouche of grilled house focaccia with olive oil and dukkah, as well as a Coffin Bay oyster with peated whisky.
Entrée choices include a wagyu carpaccio with umami emulsion, enoki mushrooms, sesame soy dressing, furikake and chilli oil – paired best with either a 2025 Ashton Hills Gamay or The Wild Thing, a 2023 beer from Stonegarden in the Barossa Valley.
Mains range from Steak Frites featuring O’Connor Angus MB6 striploin paired with _Hofbräu München _Dunkel dark lager from Munich to a reef house barramundi in red curry paired with a Kangaroo Island Coastal vodka.
To enjoy the sweeter side of life is to indulge in dessert and fun cocktails, reflected on the menu with a crème caramel with coffee mousse and chocolate crumble paired with a Thorns Sour 1865 signature cocktail (whisky, peach liqueur, rose kombucha, apple, lemon and pistachio).
For that little bit more, the Ultimate Journey Dinner Experience is available in Hardy’s Verandah Restaurant from Sunday to Thursdays every week. Refined and opulent, this nine-course degustation menu is changed seasonally, following a ‘Valley to Verandah’ concept.
For $299 per person, diners are taken on a voyage through the venue’s history and the seasons. Chef Alessandro draws inspiration from time and place, focusing on Australian native ingredients. Dishes aredelicate in this dinner for two, reticent of the elegance original tenant Arthur Hardy would have granted his guests.
High Teas are held in Hardy’s Verandah Restaurant at 12pm daily and an additional time of 2pm on weekends. Priced at $109 per person, the refined two-hour experience allows exquisitely crafted pastries, delicate finger sandwiches and the finest loose-leaf teas to be savoured.
Exceptional service meets the sophisticated ambiance of Hardy’s Verandah, adorned with timeless décor. Gift cards for any area of Mount Lofty House Adults Retreat are available, including for Hardy’s Verandah and Martha Hardy’s.
