ADELAIDE FRINGE 2025 POSTER COMPETITION OPENS WITH $10,000 CASH PRIZE UP FOR GRABS

THE BIGGEST ARTS FESTIVAL IN THE SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE, ADELAIDE FRINGE, IS EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE 2025 POSTER COMPETITION IS OFFICIALLY OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS. THE ICONIC FESTIVAL IS ON THE LOOKOUT FOR A DESIGN THAT ENCAPSULATES THIS YEAR’S THEME, “ONE FOR ALL AND ALL FOR ONE”.

The Adelaide Fringe Poster Competition over the decades has showcased many  talented artists and designers, including iconic Australian artist Pro Hart (1982), cartoonist Michael Atchison (1984), Bronwyn Platten (1988), Driller Jet Armstrong (1990), painter Matthew Clarke (2019), contemporary Aboriginal artist Mali Isabel (2022) and multi-disciplinary visual artist Rebecca Davis (2024).

Participants are invited to create a poster that reflects the vibrant and communal spirit of Adelaide Fringe. Whether you’re a seasoned professional, a budding artist, or a creative hobbyist, Adelaide Fringe wants to see how you interpret this year’s theme.

Heather Croall, CEO and Director of Adelaide Fringe, expressed her enthusiasm: “We are delighted to open this year’s competition and cannot wait to see how artists worldwide interpret ‘One for all and all for one.’ This theme highlights our commitment to collaboration, co-design, diversity, inclusivity and community, which are all at the heart of Adelaide Fringe. We look forward to a design that captures the essence of our festival.”

The winner of the 2025 Poster Competition will receive a $10,000 cash prize thanks to Lumo Energy SA, free registration for an exhibition at Adelaide Fringe, and extensive media coverage ahead of and during the 2025 festival. Previous winning designs have appeared on everything from outdoor signs and public transport to merchandise and shopping bags, showcasing the vast reach of the festival’s promotional materials.

Anna Barshon, Marketing Manager  from Lumo Energy SA says “One of our core values at Lumo Energy SA is community, and being able to support the community and our artists through providing the prize money for the Fringe poster competition is something we are so excited to be able to do.
