Bold, locally made fashion will return to the runway from 7 to 11 October 2026 for the next edition of ADL Fashion Week.
ADL Fashion Week is presented by the Adelaide Economic Development Agency, a subsidiary of City of Adelaide, in partnership with the designers, retailers, venues and hospitality partners that bring the week to life.
Adelaide Economic Development Agency Executive Manager Marketing and Tourism, Michael Rossi, says ADL Fashion Week has been embraced by the industry and public alike.
“ADL Fashion Week is a celebration of Adelaide’s creative heartbeat. It’s a platform for the designers and brands crafting quality product here, paired with the food and hospitality scene Adelaide does so well,” says Michael.
“From Podcasts and designer workshops to couture runways and circular fashion, the program is designed to reach a broad audience.
“When fashion is shown up close, it becomes something to understand and value, not just something to watch,” says Mr Rossi.
The return of ADL Fashion Week is part of a long-term vision to present a closer view of the fashion industry’s people, process and place, and the five-day event is supported by the industry’s peak body, the South Australian Fashion Industry Association (SAFIA).
SAFIA Board Chair, Dr Nathan James Crane, says the return of runways has been welcomed across the local industry.
“Runways remain one of fashion’s most powerful cultural platforms. South Australia is home to an extraordinary depth of creative talent, and ADL Fashion Week offers an important opportunity to bring that work into view, celebrating the strength, sophistication, and distinct perspective of our local fashion community.”
ADL Fashion Week in 2025 saw increases in participant satisfaction, the number of people attending for the first time, and a greater recognition of the economic and cultural contribution fashion makes to South Australia.
Some highlights from last year included Acler’s runway at The Loft at Hotel Richmond, and the Future Collective runway featuring The Wolf Gang, Van Brussel, Katya Komarova and 23rd of August. Alongside those, the ADL Designer, Handcrafted and Edit runways collectively made for a stunning display of Australia’s strength in fashion.
The 2026 program will build on this momentum and will again span runways, workshops, talks and dining experiences, with a focus on broadening access to fashion across formats, price points and audiences.
Full program details, including the 2026 runway lineup and Associated Events, will be announced after the close of the EOI process for designers and the application process for Associated Events.
ADL Fashion Week encourages anyone considering participating in this year’s event to attend the information sessions for runways and associated events, to be held on Wednesday, 10th June. The runway information session will offer interested designers the opportunity to learn more about this year’s runway themes, expression of interest process, clarity on key dates, expectations, and what makes a strong application before preparing a submission. For associated events, the focus is on how to shape event concepts and looking for collaborative opportunities in addition to key dates and exciting plans for this year’s event. There will also be explainers at both about registration costs and inclusions.
Applications and full event details will be published at adlfashionweek.com.
