ABOUT LYNDON
Lyndon Gray is a bassist and composer from Adelaide. Lyndon has performed with many elite Australian jazz musicians including Stephen Magnusson, Julien Wilson, James Muller, David Ades, Lucky Oceans, Ted Vining, Tony Gould, Paul Grabowsky, Sam Keevers, Ross Irwin, Gerard Masters, Paul McNamara, Hugh Stuckey, Gian Slater and Zac Hurren. Since 2009 Lyndon has led the group The New Cabal which has become an Adelaide institution by performing their original music every week for the last seven years at their regular venue La Boheme. This group has also backed John Riley (USA) and Joel Frahm (USA). As a member of the folk/alternative country ensemble The Audreys, Lyndon has won two ARIA awards. He has also recently completed a PhD. exploring South Indian rhythmic devices and their integration into jazz.
