Weaving together live music and astonishingly powerful contemporary dance, The Beginning of Nature is a compelling and ritualistic work from Australian Dance Theatre.

This full-length work, created by renowned Artistic Director Garry Stewart, follows on from the first excerpts performed at WOMADelaide in 2016.

Portrayed by ADT’s nine incredible dancers, this extraordinary work includes live accompaniment by the acclaimed Zephyr Quartet and two vocalists singing in Kaurna language, the first language of the Adelaide Plains.

This stunning work based on rhythms in nature is an other-worldly journey that is both mesmerising and
awe-inspiring.
