Remember when dancing in public was a thing? Adelaide will host Australia’s premier northern soul event from the 7th to the 10th November 2024. With 5 events (3 ticketed, 2 free) and 4 venues the event will showcase the iconic music and dance culture that continues to inspire and attract new followers.
For the uninitiated, the northern soul scene is based on the music created by (mostly) black American soul singers of the 1960s and 1970s. Massive 80s hit ‘Tainted Love’ by Soft Cell is a cover of a northern soul standard.
Venues include the Woodville Town Hall (Friday and Saturday) and the Croatian Club in Brompton (on Sunday) but we’re also at Winston’s on Hindley and the Crafty Robot. All event details can be found here with tickets in advance from Sticky Tickets:
