One of the world’s great historic motoring events

Sunday 22 October 2023

We’ve been delighted by the enthusiasm for Bay to Birdwood 2023!

We are proud to announce that motorists from across the nation have rapidly filled our post-1950s spaces. If you missed out, join our post-1950s reserve list here, and we will contact you if further places are made available.

We are still accepting entries for pre-1950s vehicles, and Concours de Elegance, Preservation and EV Conversion award categories. Register here.

The iconic Bay to Birdwood is one of the world’s great historic motoring events and has been a standout fixture on the South Australian events calendar since 1980.

Thousands of spectators line the 67 kilometre route to view the passing parade of historic motoring from West Beach through to the National Motor Museum at Birdwood in the Adelaide Hills. Held annually, the Bay to Birdwood is a citizen-collector historic motoring event that draws participants from around Australia and the world to celebrate all things vintage vehicles.

In 2023, we look to welcome over 1500 vehicles manufactured from the early 1900s through to 31 December 1993.

Entrants, spectators and Finish Festival goers are encouraged to wear period clothing as is tradition at the Bay to Birdwood!
