Beating a new beat for lovers of The Beatles is Charlee Watt, powerhouse vocalist and Fringe Emerging Artist Award winner. With her own Fab Four to bring the vibes, Charlee will be channelling Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Diana Krall, Nina Simone, and other legends of the jazz world to create a fun escapade with funky Jazz arrangements to get toes tapping and souls singing. It is 60 years this year since Beatlemania exploded in Adelaide in ’64 and the sounds of one of the greatest bands of all time took over the airwaves. You are invited to a new fusion of sounds as Charlee Watt and a Fab Band of skilled multi-instrumentalists, “Beat up” The Beatles with grooves to re-discover your ability to Twist and Shout, Shake it up and work it on out with new insights into old hits and memories.

Presented by: Charlee Watt

Charlee Watt continues to emerge as a creative character, with interests in songwriting, playwriting, theatre and Cabaret, taking every opportunity to learn more about the world and herself. In 2021 Charlee received the Nathanial O’Brien Class of Cabaret scholarship and has been busy ever since, writing, creating, performing and mentoring others. In 2022 at only 17, Charlee brought her world premier show ‘Both Sides Now – Joni and Carole – An Interweaving of Blue and Tapestry’ to Fringe and in her first sell-out season was awarded a weekly prize as an emerging artist. In 2023 Charlee reinvented and extended the show to create ‘Make Your Own Kind Of Music’ with another successful run and a 4 star review with further sellout shows. In 2024, The Beatles are the vibe and you are invited!
