Get ready for feathers to fly as Australia’s only ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ burlesque competition returns to Adelaide Fringe on Friday 26 February!
Just like a choose your own adventure, Burlesque Idol is the only show where Adelaide’s Fringe goers have a say in how the shows ends!
The Adelaide and Perth’s fastest rising burlesque stars will tease, shake, shimmy and tassel-twirl their way to being crowned the 2021 Adelaide Burlesque Idol. But they will have to battle it out for the audiences vote first. 12 primped and primed performers will bring their most entertaining burlesque to the Gluttony stage on Friday 26 Febraury in the hopes of winning over the judges, including the most important judge – you. Audience members should dress to the nines and come with an expectation of an exciting and thrilling 2hr show full of laughter and frivolity, plus they will be in the draw to win a lucky door prize and can purchase a raffle ticket for a chance to take home a fabulous prize. Every member of the crowd will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite act of the night, an all-important decision, so remember to bring a fully charged device to take advantage of this year’s new online voting system!
Not sure who to vote for? The show will feature a panel of leading burlesque performers and local cabaret royalty to help fill you in on the highlights of each act. Joining the judges table will be Miss Burlesque Brisbane 2019 Scarlet Tinkabelle, Sydney’s Golden Stripper Mae de la Rue, ACT’s multi-award winning burlesque sensation Jazida, and local burlesque icons Lyra LaBelle and Sapphire Snow. Some of our judges will perform along with Adelaide Burlesque Idol 2020 Letitia Stitch in her handover performance.
