SUMMARY:Billetproof Down Under
DESCRIPTION:FREE ENTRY FOR EVERYONE \n\n\n\nAfter 21 years\, Billetproof is going Down(Under)! \nThis an event for traditional style hot rods\, customs\, lead sleds\, choppers and cafe racers\, built before 1965\, as well as drag cars\, classics and street machines built before 1980. \nFor our first event outside the USA\, with the help of our partner\, the National Motor Museum\, we’ve been allowed to take over the Torrens Parade Grounds (right behind Government House)\, in the heart of downtown Adelaide. \nThe event will be sharing the grounds with it’s sister event\, Concours d’Lemons Down Under\, an eclectic gathering of odd\, wierd\, rare and unusual vehicles\, that under normal circumstances\, wouldn’t get a second glance! \nOn top of all this\, there will be a whole bunch of other things to do\, like free facepainting\, balloon artist and other entertainment for the kids\, food vans\, a display by Adelaide’s own strongman Jordan “Biggie” Steffens\, a traditional pinup contest and much\, much more. \nThis fun family day is completely free to enter and attend\, and is brought to you by Adelaide Cruisin Classics\, Shannons Insurance and the History Trust of SA through the National Motor Museum.

SUMMARY:Concours d'Lemons Down Under 2018
DESCRIPTION:FREE ENTRY FOR EVERYONE \n\n\n\nIt’s the world’s worst car show\, or more correctly a show of the world’s worst cars\, and despite all efforts\, it’s slipped past our border security and immigration controls AGAIN. \nThis time\, we’ve coerced the folks at the National Motor Museum into helping out\, and they have some pretty wacky machinery of their own\, that they’re going to bring along! \nIn a mistake that’s sure to cost someone their job\, we’ve been allowed to take over the Torrens Parade Grounds (right behind Government House)\, in the heart of downtown Adelaide for the 2nd Annual Concours d’Lemons Down Under on Sept. 29\, 2018. \nWe’ll have our usual thriftshop sourced\, cheap trophies\, allow bribing of the judges and all of the whacky categories to show off your heap. \nThe odd\, wierd\, rare and just plain un-loved of the automobile world\, will include Rust Buckets\, Hoopties and Kobbled Together Kangaroo Karts\, and the whole lot will share the lovely Torrens Parade Grounds with Billetproof Down Under\, a gathering of traditionally styles rod hots and customs. \nHot on the heals of last year’s disaster of a show\, we decided to throw in a whole bunch of other things to do\, like free facepainting\, balloon artist and other entertainment for the kids (and bored adults)\, food vans\, a display by Adelaide’s own strongman Jordan “Biggie” Steffens\, and much much more. \nOf course\, we wouldn’t dare charge you anything for this farce\, so registration and spectator entry is totally free. \nBe sure to thank Shannons Insurance for making this whole debacle possible. Give them a call\, because if you are driving your wreck to this show\, you are going to need all the insurance you can get!

SUMMARY:The Wind in the Willows - Adelaide
DESCRIPTION:Tickets for performances will be on sale to the general public from 9am Monday 9 July 2018. \nJoin Ratty\, Mole\, Badger\, Otter\, Portly and\, of course\, Mr Toad as they bring to life Kenneth Grahame’s immortal story of life on the riverbank. \nThis critically acclaimed outdoor theatre production delivers music\, songs\, and laughs. There is fun for young and old as the Head Chief Rabbit transforms the audience into rabbits with a waggle of the ears and a wiggle of the nose. The young ‘rabbits’ are encouraged to get involved in the action and are given every opportunity to scream out loud\, sing along and become part of the adventure. With laughs and surprises for children and adults\, this is interactive theatre at its best.

SUMMARY:Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
DESCRIPTION:Each September is International Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and the Childhood Cancer Association would love you to show your support or get your business involved. There are many ways you could help\, such as: lighting up your house/building “gold” (yellow) in support of childhood cancer awareness month – this is a global initiative which will also see Adelaide landmarks “light up gold” in support; make a one-off tax-deductible donation; donate a percentage of sales/services to the Childhood Cancer Association during September\, run a special marketing campaign; send an article about Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in your company newsletter; share social media posts about Childhood Cancer Awareness Month; organise a community fundraising activity in September; host a donation tin to raise funds; share how the Childhood Cancer Association has supported your family; join our City-Bay Fun Run team on Sunday\, 16 September – as an individual or a corporate team.\nChildhood Cancer Awareness Month was first proclaimed by former US President Obama in 2010. Since then it has become a global initiative\, raising awareness for childhood cancer. \nThe Gold Ribbon is the International Awareness Symbol of Childhood Cancer\, with gold being the international colour of childhood cancer awareness.\nEach year\, more than 950 children and adolescents in Australia – and 163\,0000 children worldwide – are diagnosed with cancer. \nOne third of childhood cancers are diagnosed in children aged 0-4 years. \nEvery week\, nearly three children and adolescents in Australia – and 1\,500 children worldwide – die from cancer.\nLocally\, in South Australia\, the Childhood Cancer Association receives an average of 60 referrals each year\, for children newly diagnosed with cancer. In addition to this an average of 10 children relapse and 8 children pass away from cancer every year. \nAt present\, the Childhood Cancer Association supports more than 400 families affected by childhood cancer.

SUMMARY:Tomfoolery - The Words and Music of Tom Lehrer
DESCRIPTION:TOMFOOLERY – The Words and Music of Tom Lehrer\nAdapted by Cameron Mackintosh and Robin Ray. Musical arrangements by Chris Walker and Robert Fisher. \nTomfoolery\, the words and music of acclaimed American musician\, singer-songwriter satirist and Harvard mathematician Tom Lehrer\, returns to Adelaide for a limited five performance season. The show is being reprised for a 10th Anniversary tribute to the late Michael Fuller\, director and choreographer of the sell-out 2008 Adelaide Fringe season of Tomfoolery at La Boheme. \nDirected by Nicholas Cannon and starring Catherine Campbell\, Hew Parham and Sean Weatherly with chamber pianist Mark Sandon\, the show features performances of 23 of Lehrer’s most famous songs including: Poisoning Pigeons in the Park\, Pollution\, I Got it From Agnes\, National Brotherhood Week\, The Masochism Tango\, The Old Dope Peddler\, The Vatican Rag and We Will All Go Together When We Go. Also included will be the five songs which the deeply conservative Playford and McEwin Liberal Government controversially banned from performance by Lehrer here in Adelaide in 1960. \nThe banned songs: Be Prepared\, My Home Town\, When You are Old and Grey\, The Irish Ballad and I Hold Your Hand In Mine were all considered to be too naughty and controversial for the genteel sensibilities of Adelaide audiences. \nThe Advertiser reported that Sir Lyell McEwin called Lehrer ‘Ghoul singer’ whilst years later Lehrer told The Advertiser the ban was ‘the high point of my career’. \nProducer Sean Weatherly ponders if Adelaide is ready to hear the five songs the Government banned from being performed in 1960\, ‘Perhaps the show will provide a test for Steven Marshall’s ‘tough on crime’ policies\, when we will deliberately defy that proclamation banning the five songs. When you listen to the songs today\, almost 60 year later\, it’s very hard to tell why they were banned at all\, but they are still clever pieces’. \nPhone Bookings on (08) 8375 6855 or online via Loaded Productions website\nwww.loadedproductions.com.au\nwww.facebook.com/LoadedProductionsAustralia
