SUMMARY:Movements (USA) - Adelaide 18+
DESCRIPTION:Destroy All Lines Present \nMovements (USA)\nDebut Australian Tour 2018\nwith special guests\nEat Your Heart Out \nDoors 8:00pm\nFriday 24th August\nJive Bar\n181 Hindley St\, Adelaide SA 5000 \n$36 + Booking Fee\nTickets On Sale Wed 6th June @ 10am\nwww.moshtix.com.au \n________________________ \n“We want our listeners to hear our music and feel something deeper than the everyday run-of-the-mill emotions.”\n– Patrick\, Movements \nMusic and emotion share a timeless physiological\, psychological\, and spiritual bond. A chord\, a melody\, or a lyric can lift spirits and inspire. Movements\, the Southern Californian quartet achieve that sort of reaction with their music and are thrilled to announce their first national Australian tour in August with special guests\, Eat Your Heart Out. The tour will see them hitting all major cities across the country as well as Wollongong and Newcastle. \nFormed by longtime friends\, Movements landed a deal with Fearless Records after just one local gig. Movements weave spacey guitars\, evocative and introspective lyricism\, ponderous spoken word\, and tight song craft in their music. They teamed up with Will Yip (Tigers Jaw\, Title Fight\, Turnover\, Citizen) to produce their debut EP\, Outgrown Things and their full-length LP\, Feel Something (out via Fearless Records). Acclaimed by the likes of Alternative Press and New Noise Magazine\, songs like “Daylily”\, “Full Circle” and “Colorblind” have amassed over 5.4 million Spotify streams combined as they have toured nonstop. They are currently on tour with the Vans Warped tour through out North America. \nSupported by Newcastle’s own\, Eat Your Heart Out who’s music is described as a mix of emo energy\, punk power and pop melodies. The quintet have released two EPs – Distance Between Us (2015) and Carried Away (2017)\, inked a deal with Fearless Records and have supported artists such as Simple Plan\, Columbus\, Trophy Eyes to name a few. Everything paved way for the group’s 2017 EP\, Mind Games [Fearless Records]\, which shows the band aren’t afraid to open up. \nSee Movements bring emotion to life on these shows this coming August.

SUMMARY:2018 Rascals & Ratbags Roadshow comes to the Adelaide!
DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to mint your way to mischief on the Royal Australian Mint’s 2018 Rascals & Ratbags Roadshow. The national tour marks 150 years since the convict era and will be landing in Adelaide on Saturday 18 August 2018. \nTo celebrate the contribution of the convicts to Australia’s history\, heritage and folklore\, the Mobile Mint Team will be setting up a pop-up shop at Rundle Mall\, Adelaide. \nJoin in the fun and strike your very own commemorative Rascals & Ratbags $1 coin\, swap coins or cash for freshly minted and special circulating coins\, plus browse new products from the Mint. Be sure to meet some of the characters from Australia’s past when the Rascals & Ratbags Roadshow comes your way. In 2018\, the Mint’s convict era themed products bring to life remarkable tales from this period\, from Ned Kelly’s dad to an ancestor of PM Kevin Rudd and even a cannibal. These tales share actions of the convicts that helped create the nation we are today. \nEvent: Adelaide Pop-Up Shop\nDate: Saturday 18 August\nTime: 8.30am to 4.00pm \nCan’t make it to Adelaide? We’ll also be visiting Wodonga\, Mildura\, Mount Gambier and Bendigo.

SUMMARY:Macbeth by The Raw Shakespeare Project
DESCRIPTION:Imagine stripping away all the myths and superstitions\, \nThen imagine hearing this story raw\, \nAs if you have never heard of it\, \nSeen it\, \nOr read it before. \nIn this passionate production of MacBeth\, The Raw Shakespeare Project bring to life the real story often hidden beneath the legend of The Scottish Play. In the Scotland of many Kings – a 10th Century land of Celts – we find the Lord and Lady MacBeth as real people…good people\, and a loving couple who make a mistake…a mistake that heralds their tormented downfall and brings an entire country down with them. \nThis raw\, intimate and emotionally charged period production strips back the many layer’s that time has added\, to simply and powerfully perform Shakespeare’s amazing work. \n“What’s done\, cannot be undone”
