More than 40 artisan and intimate experiences and events are coming to the award-winning Hahndorf festival over the month of September.

Previously known as Hahndorf. Handmade. Handcrafted. Handpicked, this popular and successful festival has been renamed Hahndorf Immersed, rebranded and amplified to champion local artisans who are abundant in and around the main street of the historic South Australian village.

Event seekers of all ages and tastes can expect brand new events to join last year’s favourites, all of which fall under one or more of the six event categories: food & drink, art & craft, family fun, fashion & beauty, history & story-telling, workshops & masterclasses or if you simply love a free event.

Check out some of our top picks!

New events on the program include; fun for the whole family at The Haus with a sweet pretzel decorating class; learning the art of Sabrage and making a spring bouquet with brunch and bubbles at Sidewood Estate; crafting your own clay masterpiece at the Hahndorf Academy’s pottery making class; a private, educational and personal opal cutting demonstration with your own polished stone valued at $150 to take home at the end of the session at the Opal and Gemstone Studio; learning and experimenting with calligraphy and wax stamping at Walden’s General Store with their leather journal binding workshop; creating and customising your very own roll-on perfume oil at 3 Wishes; and so much more!

These new events join festival favourites including; crafting the perfect accessory for your furry friend at a personalised dog collar workshop at the Handorf Leathersmith; an afternoon at The Cedars enjoying tea, coffee, sparkling wine and delicious, gourmet home-baked sweet treats; the perfect couples escape with wine tastings, nibbles and a historic tour through Somerled Wines; a relaxing and meditative class to explore your creativity by learning to carve decorative reusable stamps whilst enjoying a glass of your choice and nibbles with the Fill Your Cup series at the Same But Different Cafe by Storison; and plenty more!

The festival starts on Sunday 1 September and runs for the entire month with both midweek and weekend experiences on offer.   Just a 15-minute drive from the start of the freeway, book your tickets today. To see the full event line up and to book your tickets visit https://hahndorfsa.org.au/.

Hahndorf Immersed is proudly supported by the Hahndorf Business & Tourism Association, who created the event to champion the region’s bespoke and diverse artisan culture.
