Sydney smooth-metallers Inertia have announced an Australian tour this April, supporting the release of their masterful debut album โSecond Shadowโ, released last year via Resist Records. Joining Inertia across the East Coast is up-and-comers Headwreck and Synge โ tickets on sale Wednesday February 26 via Destroy All Lines. Presale available Monday February 24.
Inertia have forged their path as one of Australiaโs most exciting alternative acts, and they tightened their grip on modern metal with the release of โSecond Shadowโ. The quartet bend and break the boundaries of their genre, targeting fans of Loathe, Spiritbox, Thornhill and even at times The Weeknd. The band bring elements of dark pop and soul to the forefront as they explore the darkest corners of metal music and add to it their own sprinkling of emo pop.
Showcasing their craft across Australia, Inertia, Headwreck and Synge will kick things off in Sydney at The Lansdowne Hotel on Saturday April 19 before travelling to Brisbane to play Black Bear Lodge on Saturday April 20, on to Jive Bar in Adelaide on Friday April 25 and concluding in Melbourne on Sunday April 27 at Bergy Bandroom.
Inertia has garnered over 5 million digital streams and built a solid following off the back of their growing repertoire. Their debut album, โSecond Shadow,โ has further propelled their reputation in the Australian alternative scene, and has seen them tour the nation extensively supporting bands to the likes of Polaris, Dayseeker (US), Bury Tomorrow (US), Northlane, Holding Absence, Caskets (UK), Thy Art Is Murder, Thornhill and more. They played Good Things Festival Sydney last December, and are currently travelling their way across regional Australia with In Hearts Wake.
Inertiaโs nu-metalcore support act, Headwreck, are currently making waves with their latest singles โPlan Zโ, โLOW BLOW!โ and โBuzzsawโ, teasing a larger release slated for later this year, produced, mixed and mastered by Chris Lalic (Windwaker). Headwreck paved their way with their eclectic sound and performance, combining melodic hardcore and electronic influences mixed with well-written, pop inspired hooks and lyrical content. Theyโve played shows with the likes of We Came As Romans (US), Invent Animate (US), Story Of The Year (US), Paledusk (JPN), Windwaker and canโt wait to join Inertia for another lap of Australia.
Opening the shows is Sydney-based metalcore outfit Synge, who set out to redefine the modern heavy landscape with their dynamic fusion of crushing riffs, intricate rhythms, and immersive atmosphere. Drawing influence from both the US and UK heavy scenes, the band has forged a sound that is both aggressive and deeply emotive, setting them apart in Australiaโs thriving metalcore community.
