SUMMARY:Zacchary Bird - Vegan Honeycomb with FruChocs!
DESCRIPTION:Just because we are vegan doesn’t mean we don’t have a sweet tooth! Come join Zacchary on Sunday for a fun demonstration using vegan honeycomb and SA’s own vegan FruChocs. \nAudiences loved Zac’s energy and love of food\, especially the naughtier side of vegan food\, last year and we are thrilled to have him back again! \nZac Bird is a home cook who loves to create food that is fatty\, indulgent\, and all the things people think vegan food shouldn’t be. He started an Instagram account in order to surround himself with more cruelty free food and fell in love with engaging the community and creating things to share. Since then\, he’s operated a pop-up ice-cream shop\, worked with brands to introduce their vegan products\, given food demonstrations\, and had his recipes shared around the world. He loves anything deep fried and gluttonous and is most happy in his kitchen\, glass of wine in hand and funky music playing. You can find him anywhere delicious vegan food is served or being talked about.

SUMMARY:The Sword - Fowlers Live\, Adelaide
DESCRIPTION:The Sword bring beauty and brutality evocative of rock’s golden age\, but with a consciousness and bravura devastatingly shaped by these hammers of the gods for the 21st century and beyond. \nSupported by Massix & Dirty Pagans \nINFO & TICKETS AVAILABLE HERE ➤ bit.ly/TheSword2018 \nVIP M&G Ticket includes:\nTicket to the show\nMeet and Greet with The Sword\nPhoto with The Sword on fans own phone/camera\n2 items signed by The Sword\nLimited edition A3 Thick Card Poster\n3 x guitar picks\nOfficial commemorative VIP Laminate\nPriority Access to the venue \nWe sail through endless skies\, stars shine like eyes… as we travel the universe \nThe Sword know no boundaries. JD Cronise [vocals\, guitar]\, Kyle Shutt [guitar]\, Bryan Richie [bass]\, and Santiago Vela III [drums] take their own conception of heavy psychedelic rock beyond the realms of perception. You feel the pounding in your ears and you feel that vibration in your diaphragm\, but this is an attack that is wholly joyous and uplifting. \nFresh from the outstanding 5 star reviews for their latest album “Used Future”\, The Sword bring their sonic journey in from the outer reaches of the galaxy to a city near you. \nInspired by classic rock originators such as Black Sabbath\, Led Zeppelin\, Deep Purple\, Thin Lizzy\, Iron Maiden\, ZZ Top and classic era Metallica\, the Sword have forged their own identity melding buzzsaw guitars\, 60’s garage\, 70’s psychedelia and a decent dollop of sludge with lyrics exploring mythology\, science fiction literature and introspective philosophy. The result is a spellbinding concoction of gut wrenching bliss. \nThe Sword bring beauty and brutality evocative of rock’s golden age\, but with a consciousness and bravura devastatingly shaped by these hammers of the gods for the 21st century and beyond. \n“Almost immediately after kicking off with “Maiden\, Mother & Crone” there were hands up in the air and heads thrashing. They wanted their fervor and they got it.” Live Music Review 12/04/2018 \n“If you get the chance to catch The Sword on tour\, definitely do it” Hysteria 9/4/2018

SUMMARY:The Future of Plant Based Business
DESCRIPTION:In April 2018 Australians searched on Google for ‘vegan meat’ and ‘vegan cheese’ more than people in any other country. \nColes\, Woolworths and other retailers are actively seeking out more plant-based products to put on their shelves. \nEven meat\, dairy and egg producers are recognising that their industries are under threat\, with the smart ones investing in animal-free alternatives. \nThis global shift towards vegan eating and living offers opportunities for entrepreneurs. How can aspiring and existing vegan business owners succeed in this fast-growing market? \nJoin Seth Tibbott\, founder of iconic US vegan food brand Tofurky\, and Cale Drouin\, national sales manager at Australian import and distribution company Botany Group’s plant-based and health division in this panel hosted by Katrina Fox\, journalist\, Forbes contributor and founder of Vegan Business Media\, as they discuss topics including:\n• What’s driving the take-up of vegan/plant-based living \n• What plant-based products are currently ‘hot’ right now \n• What to be aware of when dealing with large supermarket chains \n• Strategies for getting your products into retailers \n• Export challenges and tips \n• What’s happening in non-food-related vegan business sectors and the opportunities this provides\nWhether you already own a vegan business or are thinking of starting one\, you’ll gain valuable tips and insights from this expert panel. \nPANELIST DETAILS:\nSeth Tibbott\nSeth founded Turtle Island Foods\, now The Tofurky Company\, in 1980 on $2\,500\, his life savings from his eight-year career as a teacher/naturalist in the Portland\, Oregon public schools. The company’s first product was tempeh and the first few years were a struggle financially to the point where Seth lived in a treehouse to save on rent. After hitting the big time with the first of its Tofurky roasts in 1995\, the family-owned business now sells its products – which are made in a new eco production plant – in over 21\,000 stores worldwide. \nCale Drouin\nCale is the national sales manager at Australian import and distribution company Botany Group’s plant-based and health division. Before that he headed up distribution companies Plant Based Foods and Revolution Foods. He also owned vegan eatery The Green Edge in Brisbane for two years. Cale works with local and international plant-based food brands to help place them in Australian supermarket chains and independent retailers. \nKatrina Fox\nKatrina is an award-winning journalist\, PR consultant\, founder of Vegan Business Media\, host of Vegan Business Talk podcast\, and author of Vegan Ventures: Start and Grow an Ethical Business – the first global book providing success strategies for aspiring and existing vegan business owners. She has written extensively for niche and mainstream media for 18 years on animal advocacy\, social justice and ethical business and is a regular Forbes contributor specialising in writing about vegan and plant-based business.
