City of Salisbury will plant 10,000 trees along the Little Para River corridor.
These plantings will increase canopy cover and understorey within the City of Salisbury to enhance and conserve natural habitat, contribute to quality of life and the natural environment experience for residents and open space users.
As part of the project, Council is hosting community planning events with opportunities to get involved in planting a piece of our community’s future.
Event location details are as follows:
• Saturday 22 May, John Harvey Oval, car parking at Jenkins Reserve, Saints Road, Salisbury Park
• Saturday 5 June (World Environment Day), Harry Bowey Reserve, Riversdale Drive, Salisbury Park
• Sunday 1 August (National Tree Day), John Harvey Oval, car parking at Jenkins Reserve, Saints Road, Salisbury Park
Location maps will be emailed to attendees the week of the event.
The ambitious project is being carried out in partnership with the State Government via the Open Space and Places for People Grant Program.
