SPECIAL BENEFIT SHOW AT THE WHEATSHEAF HOTEL TO RAISE MONEY FOR TIMOR LESTE’S ALMA NUNS

Get ready for a massive night of live music, energy, and good times—all for an incredible cause! NUN SENSE is bringing together some of Adelaide’s finest musicians for a charity gig like no other, raising much-needed funds for the ALMA Nuns, who dedicate their lives to caring for abandoned and disabled children in Timor Leste.

Expect a great line up to keep the vibes high all night! Kicking things off, Pelvis—an all-girl powerhouse trio—will bring the heat with their dynamic sound and tight harmonies. Expect raw energy and soulful rock when The Wrong Road hits the stage, keeping the crowd moving with their electrifying set. And to top it all off, Paulie Stewart—lead singer of Painters and Dockers—will join The Wrong Road for a special, one-off collaboration that’s guaranteed to bring the house down!

Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper benefit gig without a few stories and surprises along the way. Paulie, who has worked closely with the ALMA Nuns for years, will share why this cause is so close to his heart – commemorating the 50th anniversary of his brother Tony Stewart’s death, one of the Balibo Five journalists killed in 1975. He’ll also be joined by two students from St Ignatius College Adelaide, who recently visited the nuns in Dili and will share their first-hand experiences of witnessing the nuns’ life-changing work.

And it’s not just us backing the nuns! The Wiggles, Bono (U2), Kylie Minogue, John Farnham, and the late Michael Hutchence (INXS) have all shown support for this incredible cause over the years. Even Pope Francis took time out of his visit to Timor Leste to personally meet and bless the ALMA Nuns and the orphans they care for!
