Join professional snorkel leaders, shipwreck historian and marine biologists for a guided wreck snorkel at Port Willunga Beach. The reef is the final resting place of the shipwreck ‘Star of Greece’ and home to an amazing variety of colourful fish and plant life. This snorkel requires fitness and confidence in water as there is a 600m beach walk followed by a 120m swim out to wreck which is up to 5m deep.
EMS snorkel events are Proudly supported by Green Adelaide Landscape Board, National Parks and Wildlife Service, City of Onkaparinga, Suzanne Elliot Charitable Trust & Department of Human Services.
Please save the dates –
Save both 9th January and 7th February in your calendar. This event is scheduled for Sunday 9th January but if the event is cancelled we will reschedule all paid participants to Sunday 7th February. If the 9th January event goes ahead then EMS will run a second Star of Greece Wreck snorkel event on 7th February (with those on 7th Feb. waiting list getting the first option to book tickets for the event).
EMS snorkel tours are open to all abilities* and suitable for both young and old, adults with and without children. Friends and families are grouped together.
*Note – this snorkel requires fitness and confidence in the water as there is a 600m beach walk followed by a 120m swim out to wreck which is up to 5m deep.
Suitable for children 5 years and above whom are good swimmers. At least one parent to accompany and supervise two children.
Wetsuits and snorkel gear provided in the ticket price!
Wetsuits, snorkel equipment and guide provided in the ticket price. Trained snorkel guides lead the tours and are often accompanied by student or qualified marine biologists.
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before start time to fill out the registration form and be fitted with snorkel gear.
