Pulteney Grammar School is proud to present its 2020 Year 12 Drama production: ‘Picnic at Hanging Rock’.
On St. Valentine’s Day in 1900, three Australian schoolgirls on a picnic expedition to the remote Hanging Rock abscond from their group. They are last seen heading towards the beckoning Rock. In Tom Wright’s chilling adaptation of Joan Lindsay’s classic novel, a group of performers struggle to solve the mystery of the missing girls and their teacher. Nightmarish terror reverberates throughout the community as past and present collide in the search for what happened on that fateful summer’s day.
