Prince was one of the most iconic and influential figures in music history. He transcended genres, inspired generations of listeners and his music is still beloved by fans all over the world. Fi grew up singing Prince into her hairbrush like so many music lovers did, & continue to do! Prince was a prolific performer and writer whose songs were made famous by not only himself but also by other influential contemporary artists. Fi and Frenz will bring you an hour of reimagined versions of Prince’s music, so.. “Lets Go Crazy” in a “Raspberry Beret”, arriving in a “Little Red Corvette” and always know that… “Nothing Compares 2U” !
Fi and Frenz are a vocal and piano duo from the Limestone Coast who expand to a 6 piece band with musicians local to the cities in which they perform. They love Jazz standards, covering all the jazz genres including Soul and Blues. Their repertoire consists of music ranging from the early 20th Century through to the Contemporary music of the present day. Fi is known for putting a Jazz twist on popular music with her own particular style and sound. In recent years, Fi and Frenz have had great success presenting their tribute shows, which focused on some of the great women of Jazz, including Nina Simone, Sarah Vaughan and Carmen McRae. They have performed at Jazz Festivals in SA and Vic, as well as Adelaide and Mt Gambier Fringe.
