On Thursday, August 15th, Luciano’s on the Marina is hosting an exclusive Wine Dinner, to support Gaffer Month, where guests can enjoy an evening of fine wine, exquisite food, and heartfelt storytelling. This special night features a five-course shared menu paired with ten outstanding Mr. Riggs wines. Ben Riggs will guide attendees through each wine and share the touching story behind the event, including the significance of The Gaffer Shiraz.

In August each year, Mt Riggs runs their Gaffer Month campaign, where ‘The Gaffer Shiraz’ proceeds are donated to the Flinders Foundation. The Gaffer Shiraz, with its distinctive pink cap, pays tribute to Ben Riggs’ great-great-great-grandfather, John ‘The Gaffer’ Riggs (1814-1902), a celebrated South Australian farmer. This McLaren Vale Shiraz commemorates 150 years of the Riggs family’s farming heritage. Since 2006, The Gaffer Shiraz has supported the Flinders Foundation’s fight against cancer, embodying a legacy of compassion and community spirit.
