FOOL’S PARADISE RETURNS TO ADELAIDE FRINGE FOR 2024 SEASON

Tarntanyangga/Victoria Square will host popular venue hub, Fool’s Paradise, for a second year running during the 2024 Adelaide Fringe Festival, with a bigger and better program!

Fool’s Paradise now has three venues, which will host 34 shows across the month and feature Melbourne-based circus group, Head First Acrobats, in multiple shows.

The Vault (capacity of 400), The Bunker (200) and The Roundabout (100) will contribute to the area’s focus on circus and children’s performances.

Organiser, Thomas Gorham, says returning to the centre of Adelaide gives Fringe-goers a great excuse to explore a different area of the city.

“The Adelaide Fringe Festival is great because there are so many locations where shows can be hosted, and we think Tarntanyangga/Victoria Square is a wonderful spot for these circus acts to thrive,” says Thomas.

“We’ve got a lot coming back as well as plenty of new features to the area, so it’s a great spot to base yourself for some Fringe shows.”

Last year’s flying trapeze is getting an upgrade, to now feature a full rig with classes being held every day.

Busking will also return to the area, alongside scheduled live music acts, in the area that will now take up the whole southern side of the square.

Head First Acrobats shows to return include _GODZ_, cabaret sensation _Crème de la Crème_, and the returning _Railed_, not seen in Adelaide since 2020. _Railed_ features Australia’s best juggler and is not to be missed for its extraordinary feats.

Other shows featured in Fool’s Paradise are _Flamenco Electro_, _Star Warz de Nude_ and _#since1994_, all guaranteed to provoke discussion and cheeky fun.

For the kids, _Dr Hubble_, _f*acts_, _Paper Trail_ and _Mike Balloon_ are among the shows on offer, with at least four shows across each weekend making for a perfect Fringe day out for the family.

Fool’s Paradise opens Friday, 16th  February 2024, and runs across the Adelaide Fringe Festival season to Sunday, 17th March 2024, with tickets available to all shows at https://adelaidefringe.com.au/.

Music events will welcome guests to Fool’s Paradise across the opening weekend, to accompany outdoor dining options from Asian to European. Bao Bao by the Filipino Project and Pizza Reggina will satisfy for bigger meals, while Smooth Operators offer smoothies and classic donuts will be an appealing dessert option.

Hither and Yon, and Pirate Life will again both operate 20-foot containers to satisfy wine and beer lovers.
