Adelaide Arcade specialty store, Alexandra Lingerie, turns ten this April, celebrating with a special sale on feature products. Owner, Alexandra Vaissiere, marks the milestone as a well-loved retailer in the arcade, celebrating the occasion with her customers and growing team.

Known as the ‘French Big Boobs Expert,’ Alexandra has been providing expert fitting services and beautiful bras to busty women across the city, and says she is thankful Australia gave her the chance to follow her dream.

“I worked in lingerie stores in France and saw the lack of size diversity in the industry,” says Alexandra. “I was frustrated because I was selling bras that I couldn’t fit into, and I could also see that despite my best efforts to fit people correctly, there was simply a lack of options available for the diversity of women looking for bras.

“I opened my shop in Adelaide with the intention to change everything… Most women who walk through our doors are wearing the wrong bra size — because until now, they’ve never had a real choice,” Alexandra says. “We don’t just sell lingerie. We help women feel supported, confident, and comfortable in their bodies.”

Alexandra Lingerie offers products from many luxurious European brands, but their focus on fit and service is what sets them apart. Offering highly personalised customer care, to ensure that every bra sold is going to be comfortable, and supportive at every size, is their priority.

Holding her own amongst the department stores and bigger lingerie retailers, Alexandra’s lingerie boutique has grown steadily and consistently in Adelaide Arcade. In 2021, Alexandra Lingerie physically doubled in size, taking on a new storefront and bringing their glowing window displays to two spaces in the arcade; an amazing achievement forAlexandra, who had worked six days a week with no staff for more than five years.

Appearing at events, such as Vogue Festival, and speaking on panels at the Salon de la Lingerie in Paris, has propelled Alexandra’s company’s reputation as the must-visit location for beautiful lingerie and expert fittings.

Since 2021, Alexandra has hired and trained a wonderful team to support her, ensuring customers can always find helpful fitters when they visit the boutique.

The store’s Parisian ambience accommodates large, accessible fitting rooms, and Alexandra’s growing team creates a welcoming experience for everyone needing a fitting.

The unique size range sees a wide variety of bras always stocked, sizes starting as small as 6D. Band sizes extend up to 26 and cups range from D to KK, with the size range extending up to LL from July this year.
