Fringe Review: Fuego Carnal ★★★★★

The folks from Fuego Carnal are back this year and more fiery than ever! “Fuego” is the Spanish word for fire, and “carnal” – well this speaks for itself! The title should give you a good idea of what the show is about. It fuses circus and fire with just the right amount of sexual innuendo and humour to leave the adults in a roar of laughter whilst going right over the heads of the younger audience members!

The show starts off with some daring acrobatics, a fire eater, a bagpipe that can throw fire and a very impressive archeress! It can’t be a true fringe show though without embarrassing an unknowing member of the audience! Felicia picks her victim (or consenting partner!) out the crowd and serenades him in what is truly a hilarious performance.

Just when you were starting to sit back, relax and enjoy the show, out comes the knife thrower to put you back on edge! We are also introduced to a new device known as the “satellite” which is incorporated into the knife throwing, making many audience members very nervous!

All the acts flow seamlessly together like a well-oiled machine, making the one hour show fly by. The show is flawless and perfect for any age group. So come along to this must-see show of the fringe and let Fuego Carnal light a fire in your heart!
