Fringe Review – HOT DEPARTMENT: amalgamation

Birthed from the minds of Honor Wolff and Patrick Durnan Silva, this is sketch comedy at its most bizarre, as this ‘brother and sister duo’ are back with a hot, new mutation of their HOT DEPARTMENT act as amalgamation arrives to this year’s Adelaide Fringe.

The show cobbles together a slew of chaotic skits like a camp Frankenstein — but the Jacob Elordi version so you’re kinda into it. Expect a lot of dancing, singing, acting, crying and all-around silliness as these sick sketch superstars show off why they’ve been able to amass such a cooked cult-following. Be warned, however, as there will be audience participation—and direct, pointed eye contact aplenty—to get you into the action.

HOT DEPARTMENT: amalgamation plays at The Courtyard of Curiosities at the State Library until Sunday 22 March. 5 stars from us!
