Fringe Review – Petty Bitches: Best LYF ★★★★

Are you living your best life? Tash and Boo can help you do just that. In this cabaret show, they teach important life lessons, like how to take a pouty selfie, select the right filter and have an Instagram-perfect life.

They delivered these tips through comedy, songs, and some Flashdance-inspired dancing in lycra. The pair were fabulous singers, and they also showed off their rapping skills with original numbers like ‘Bitches in the House.’

Dressed in leopard print, the feisty duo made fun of our modern lives and priorities. Everything was fair game from our obsession with selfies, hashtags and Instagram to the latest wellness fads.

They also looked at the trainwreck that was 2020 and the new language that a Covid world has created.

‘Remember when the word “bubble” used to be fun,’ quipped Boo.

But lockdown allowed them to ‘work on themselves’ and become their most ‘authentic self’. And they used their new-found wisdom to help the audience. Tash and Boo had inspirational quotes to solve every problem. They relished the chance to send up these clichéd phrases. And it was hilarious.

This was a funny, entertaining show about the superficialities and pettiness of our crazy world. Go along and let Tash and Boo be your wayward life coaches!

Showing at The Piglet, Gluttony
