HALAL FOOD FESTIVAL RETURNS TO VICTORIA SQUARE THIS OCTOBER

Adelaide’s annual Halal food festival, which celebrates multicultural cuisines from over 30 vibrant cultures from all around the world, will return to Victoria Square on 4-5 October 2024.

People can explore the world through flavoursome tastes and smells, with the largest variety of cuisines offered in a local food festival.

After the success of last year’s inaugural event, Halal Food Festival Creative Director, Mohammed Hassan, shares his excitement to bring the popular festival back in 2024.

“Halal Food Fest is a fantastic event for people of all cultures to embrace, with entertainment on offer for the whole family.” says Mohammed.

“We created this event to offer a unique, culinary experience from every corner of  the world, right in the heart of the Adelaide CBD. It is also a great opportunity to
showcase halal food, which most people already consume without even knowing, especially at some of their favourite restaurants.”

Halal is the classification as being permissible in the Muslim faith, and wholesome.

Cuisines from over 30 countries will take over the square including Korean, Moroccan, Indian, South-East Asian, Palestinian, Syrian, Belgian, North African,
Greek, Italian, Australian, Afghan, Uzbek and Turkish.

Entry is FREE and will take place in Victoria Square on Friday, 4th October and Saturday, 5th October from 11:00am to 10:00pm.
