Make-A-Wish Adelaide’s Gala Ball, presented by Lexus of Adelaide, will be a summer event in 2024, celebrating all things extravagant with A Night at the Circus.

On Saturday, 17th February, the carnival atmosphere will take over Adelaide Oval’s William Magarey Room as the respected children’s foundation hosts its annual fundraiser.

Naming rights sponsor Lexus of Adelaide returns for its fifth year, and General Manager, Wade Sander, says the night will encourage everyone’s light-hearted side to come out.

“The Make-A-Wish Gala Ball is an incredibly uplifting fundraising event, and we think A Night at the Circus is a great theme for everyone to enjoy. This event positively contributes to the health and wellbeing of all the children and families involved in the foundation, and we’re pleased to be returning as naming rights sponsor.”

The Make-A-Wish Foundation hopes to raise more than $125,000 across the event, to grant up to 25 cherished wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Chair of the Make-A-Wish Adelaide Gala Ball Committee, Frank Jackowiak, says, “Money raised in Australia goes directly to Make-A-Wish Australia, with between 30 to 50 magical wishes being granted here in South Australia. Money raised from this event goes to at least half of those wishes.”

A general admission ticket to the event for $190 includes a three-course dinner with beer, fine wines, champagne and soft drinks.

The Master of Ceremonies is Gertie Spurling from Seven News Adeladie, while entertainment will come from All About Her, Entertainment Adelaide and Bellarouge to awe guests before they enjoy tunes on the dancefloor.

The foundation, now in its 39th year, will benefit from an event auction run by LJ Hooker Auctioneer, Troy Tyndall. It will include prizes such as luxury holidays, exclusive experiences, and two nights’ accommodation in Sofitel’s exclusive Presidential Suite, generously donated by Sofitel, Adelaide.

More than 400 guests are expected to attend the highly anticipated event, which is a favourite within Adelaide’s social calendar.
