NEW FLAVOUR JOINS MUCH-LOVED ITALIAN HOT CHOCOLATE AT CIBO ESPRESSO

Hot chocolate lovers have one of Adelaide’s staple offerings back for a short time only as CIBO Espresso’s Italian Hot Chocolate makes a triumphant return to the menu.

The traditional favourite has been brought back for an indulgence this winter, alongside the new offering of an Italian White Hot Chocolate, the first of its kind for CIBO Espresso.

“We wanted to create a unique experience on what typically is a traditional way of drinking chocolate,” says CIBO Espresso Marketing Manager, Tikiri Nugegoda.

“Although white hot chocolates are conventionally sweet, no matter how they’re made, for our first offering, we wanted to try out an Italian style for our Adelaide customers that brings a sense of balance”

The month of Cioccolata Tutti e Due (Italian for both chocolate) runs from today (July 29) to September 1, offering something for all lovers of a hot beverages.

The Italian Hot Chocolate has returned after popular demand and stands out for its thick velvety consistency as the perfect cup for winter.

This different hot chocolate blend follows recipes from across the ages in Italy and other parts of Europe, where thick hot chocolate is a regular affair.

CIBO Espresso is one of few city coffee houses to offer such a hot chocolate, which traditionally can be so thick it’s eaten with a spoon rather than drunk.

“If you’ve never tried it before, it’s a different experience but one we believe you must try during the cold months,” says CIBO Espresso Hyde Park Barista, Ally Ladas.

“We’re also giving you the option of mixing things up by making it a mocha!”

Both the classic and white options can have a shot of coffee added to them for $1 extra. A caffe (small) size retails at $5.20, with milk alternatives extra.

Cioccolata Tutti e Due runs across all CIBO Espresso outlets from July 29 through to September 1.
