Dystopia (2020 Adelaide Fringe Festival) ★★★★ After a successful 2019 Adelaide Fringe season, Scott and Chantelle Reed are back this year with a new show as part of their independent circus and physical theatre organisation CircAxe, based locally here in Adelaide.

This new show Dystopia, takes the audience on a journey of a post-apocalyptic world in a dark alternate reality, where Earth as we know it has been seized by a dark warlord and is inhabited by otherworldly creatures, beasts and half-lings. This is a combination of circus and physical theatre set to a soundtrack of live original electric guitar music.

Dystopia is a show like no other, with a variety of performers there is surely something to suit everyone’s tastes. The audience is able to witness a variety of acts including aerial hoop, hula, trapeze, aerial silks, aerial hammock, juggling, contortion and fire spinning. All the while guitarist Scott Reed is able to story tell emotions through his instrument to fit what the performers are creating on stage – it truly is a marvel to see!

Even more amazing, was when the audience were told that the youngest performer on stage was just 12 years old!

Dystopia is a fantastic fusion of circus, music and theatre, making it a show like nothing you would have seen before. So sit back and get ready to enjoy a variety of amazing circus performers, all the while rocking out to some incredible heavy metal guitar shredding!
