A Glenelg landmark for decades, The Holdfast Hotel, has launched its new Sailor Jerry Garden Bar and nautical inspired menu.

Known for their innovative and ever-evolving menu, The Holdy is launching a new dining experience, highlighting local produce designed to share.

“Spending time with mates can seem an impossible task with today’s busy lifestyle, so here at the Holdy we’ve created an easy going ambience where you can forget about your phones and simply enjoy a shared meal, a quiet beer or two, and just relax with good company,” says Owner and Hotel Manager, Jeffery Owens.

Holdfast Hotel’s Head Chef, Hayley Mass has created a new menu featuring signature shared dishes such as slow-braised ribs and a seafood platter for two featuring locally sourced South Australian seafood. The new menu will test taste buds, with inclusions of vegan and celiac friendly options to suit everyone.

“The bedrock ribs are slow-braised, sticky BBQ fall off the bone goodness and our fresh seafood platter boasts the best South Australia has to offer,” says The Holdy Head Chef, Hayley Mass.

“I’ve also introduced new flavour combinations with quirky additions like bacon aioli and rutabaga to tantalise the taste buds and get those conversations going over the table. I love to surprise people with unexpected flavours!”

Being close to the seaside, a strong seafood influence lies heavily within the menu, as well as traditional pub favourites and an incredible desserts menu.

“The desserts have also been given a major overhaul so that the dining experience is jaw-dropping until the very last mouthful,” says Hayley.

This isn’t the only new addition to The Holdy, with the launch of a cheeky nautical Sailor Jerry themed Garden Bar, offering the perfect destination for entertainment and Sailor Jerry inspired drinks every Sunday.

With flavoursome food, ice cold cocktails, relaxed tunes and a cheeky crew, The Holdy is set to be Adelaide’s favourite watering hole over the coming months.
