Spring is in the Air at Morphettville

The Spring Carnival returns to Morphettville for 2022 with six feature race days packed with racing excitement for those who like a punt and a party.

From Saturday, 8th October to Saturday, 5th November, fierce races from across Australia will stop Adelaide in its tracks to create spring magic, along with trackside food, fashion, and entertainment.

Considered to be one of Adelaide’s most glamorous events, the Spring Carnival is where the sun shines and the parties get bigger and bigger.

Adelaide model and teacher, Jessica Dover, is thrilled to be this year’s Face of the Spring Carnival, bringing her influence and style to racing’s biggest days.

Jessica will be seen around flourish @Morphettville, a new unique lush space adjacent to the track. Entry to flourish is included as part of general admission and will boast a delectable selection of executive chef-designed culinary offerings and specially selected beverages available for purchase, as well as daytime party vibes from guest DJs each week.

Morphettville CEO, Grant Mayer, says there’s never been a better time to embrace the social atmosphere of the 2022 Spring Carnival as the warmer weather hits.

“It’s been a long, wet winter and the Spring Carnival at Morphettville is the perfect place to kickstart the social party season across all our feature race days,” says Grant. “With our popular hospitality packages consistently selling out, we’re really excited to be creating an elevated general admission experience at flourish open to everyone at the racetrack, and we can’t wait to see everyone enjoying the carnival atmosphere. We’d encourage everyone to arrive early to secure a prime position and get the best out of an amazing day on the course.”

The 2022 Spring Carnival at Morphettville commences with the Guinness on Guineas Irish Spring Fling Day, followed by The Everest and Caulfield Cup Day, Cox Plate Day, Victoria Derby Day and Golden Eagle Day, Melbourne Cup Day, and wraps up with Stakes Day.

Guinness on Guineas Irish Spring Fling Day on Saturday, 8th October will feature entertainment where the party continues long after the last race. U2 cover band Vertigo will perform live to transport revelers into a Dublin-verse.

Caulfield Cup Day also boasts The Everest, the richest race on turf, live from Sydney, while Moonee Valley’s Cox Plate, known as a preview to Australia’s greatest race, has a consistent following sure to attract a crowd.

Victoria Derby Day sees punters in their black and white finest, and Melbourne Cup Day, the race that stops the nation, will see an excess crowd of 5500.

Stakes Day caps off a bumper program, all events with varied hospitality packages, showcasing the best in local SA produce, are available for group bookings.

Perfect for an all-inclusive, social day out with friends, the CC Giddy Up Club is less formal than corporate packages featuring quality food options, a four-hour drinks package including CC, and DJ entertainment for $135 per person.

For those seeking an exquisite culinary experience punctuated by picturesque scenery, limited availability remains within the Grandstand at Restaurant 1873 on Level 2, and The Stables in Adelaide Cup Room on Level 1, both offerings providing amazing views over the racecourse, plated meals, and big screens for viewing the races.
