STATION ROAD LAUNCHES ‘FRENCH CLASSICS’ SERIES AS NEW LUNCHTIME-ONLY OFFERING

The classic French and Belgian favourite _moules frites_ will launch Station Road’s new French Classics lunchtime offering from this Thursday, 6th February.

Every month, a new classic French dish will be available separate to the regular menu, exclusively for lunch from Wednesday to Saturday.

Moules frites is a dish loved across both France and Belgium, mixing fresh mussels with perfectly crisp fries.

Station Road Co-owner, Mathieu Smeysters, says a casual dish was the right way to kick off the new French Classics offering.

“Moules frites_ is a dish shared by groups of friends when they go out – it’s a bit of fun, but also quite sumptuous when you have the right sauce,” says Mathieu. “We’ve stuck with a traditional offering and look forward to sharing more of our take on classic French cuisine.”

In using seasonal and local ingredients, Station Road’s _moules frites_ will use Port Lincoln mussels. Cooked in a white wine and cream broth, known as ‘a le crème’, the mussels pair beautifully with French fries made in-house and unbeatable mayonnaise.

Lunch bookings for the French Classics menu are preferred but not required. The dish is priced at $30/person.

Recently opened to the public as part of the new Festival Plaza redevelopment, Station Road is inspired by all things European. From its sleek modern design to French-inspired menu, it encourages a casual yet stylish atmosphere perfect for a range of events and occasions.

The Festival Plaza restaurant also hosts Apero Time on Fridays, featuring Whispering Angel French rose, from the Provence region. The party lasts from 3pm to 6pm with an everchanging DJ line-up andWhispering Angel (glasses for $16 or $70 for a bottle).
