The Gold Ribbon Gala, the Childhood Cancer Association’s signature fundraising event, returns this year, inviting the community to step into an enchanted garden where elegance, generosity and purpose come together.
More than just a glamorous evening, the Gold Ribbon Gala has become a vital fundraising event on the South Australian calendar, raising more than $1.1 million over the past five years to support children with cancer, and their families. In 2025 alone, the event raised more than $270,000 – a powerful demonstration of the impact a connected and compassionate community can achieve.
This year’s Gala promises an unforgettable experience, where guests are invited to “enter the enchanted garden” in support of local families facing childhood cancer. The evening blends celebration with purpose, reminding attendees that every moment contributes to meaningful change.
Childhood Cancer Association Chief Executive Cath O’Loughlin said the Gala continues to play a vital role in ensuring families receive the support they need from diagnosis, through treatment, and beyond.
“The Gold Ribbon Gala is so much more than just a celebration, it’s a powerful gathering of people determined to make a lasting difference,” Ms O’Loughlin said.
“Every ticket purchased, every bid placed and every conversation shared on the night helps ensure we can continue supporting children with cancer, and their families, through some of life’s most challenging moments.”
Guiding the evening will be much-loved hosts Hayley Pearson and Jarrod Walsh, whose warmth and heart will lead guests through a night of celebration and generosity.
Guests will enjoy a premium three-course dining experience paired with a five-hour drinks package, among an enchanted garden setting. Entertainment will be provided by The 60 Four, delivering a high-energy performance of classic hits and crowd favourites.
The evening will also feature silent and live auctions, as well as jewellery and car raffles, offering guests the opportunity to contribute directly to the cause while enjoying the excitement of the night.
The Childhood Cancer Association supports more than 450 families each year, providing vital emotional, practical and financial assistance from the time of diagnosis, throughout treatment and beyond.
The Gold Ribbon Gala invites guests to be part of something truly meaningful — an evening where every action will have a lasting impact.
