Tjungu Pakani – Traditional Silk Batik Workshop

The women of Titjikala, an Indigenous community in the Northern Territory, are acclaimed for their unique silk Batik practice. This Sunday, along with artists from ‘The Art Bus’, the Titjikala women are holding two Batik Workshops where you can learn their techniques and experience this rich cultural art form firsthand.

Ticket cost includes all materials.

The workshop is held as part of  the SALA 2018 festival, and in relation to other Tjungu Pakani workshops, culminating in a performance by the Titjikala Women’s Choir and the opening of an exhibition at the Ayers House Museum to celebrate cultural diversity.

Natural Surface Rock Climbing on SA’s BEST cliffs

Experience natural surface rock climbing with qualified employees and quality equipment.  Since 1989, Venture Corporate Recharge has been successfully taking people up and down the best cliffs in South Australia, Victoria, and further afield.

We offer a range of programs for beginners to the more experienced climbers, to go rock climbing and/or abseiling for individuals or groups.

The most popular sites close to Adelaide that we use are the cliffs of  Morialta Conservation Park and The Onkaparinga National Park. Morialta Conservation Park, 15 minutes away from the city is a gorgeous setting with views over the Adelaide Metropolis and St Vincent Gulf are awe-inspiring. Onkaparinga Gorge, south of the city is a wild setting and feels remote, and the views over the Onkaparinga River are fabulous.

No experience necessary – Our guides will provide all equipment, instruction and technical expertise. We set up a variety of climbs for differing levels of fitness and experience, to ensure you get the chance to have fun, ‘top out’, perhaps learn some new skills (or refresh old ones) and push yourself as hard as you wish.

We have climbing days at both Morialta and down at ‘the Onk’ planned for through out the year available to be booked on now.  If you have something else in mind, or want your own private climbing experience, please get in touch and we will endeavor to make it happen.
