Family Games Night at The Grove

The Grove is bringing back the old fashioned games night kicking off on May 24th!

Challenge your friends to a round of Uno, find who the family champion is over a game of Jenga, or uncover who the Picasso is in the group with a round of Pictionary.

On Thursday, May 24 from 5pm-7pm watch one half of Adelaide’s beloved duet ‘Two Girls Next Door’ sing all your favourite hits to set the mood for a night out! Once you’ve worked up an appetite, snap up some meal deals for as little as $5.00 and make sure you try the delicious Spanish paella at made exclusively by Lunches Etc on Games night.

Head over to Wendy’s for something sweet where you can treat the kids to FREE ice-cream or visit the savoury stand for free popcorn to finish the night! There will be colouring packs for the kids and prizes to be won on the night with the SPIN to WiN wheel.

Because one week isn’t enough, come back on the 31st for round 2 with entertainment by Daniel Acoustic.

Head to The Grove for more details on the events: http://www.thegrovesa.com.au/events

Adelaide Festival of Ideas

In the age of the machines, when junk mail has become fake news, and space is but another frontier, some 90 invited thinkers, drinkers and doers will come together at the 2018 Adelaide Festival of Ideas, for a series of mainly free thought-provoking presentations, in-conversations, round tables and special events.

Over three nights and three days, 12-15 July, scientists of all kinds, policy wonks, historians, economists, educationalists, theologians and artists will share with us their wisdom. Who knows ‘Who’s at the Wheel’? Rug up and join us as the winter sun rises on Adelaide’s West End knowledge precinct.  Full program available end of June http://adelaidefestivalofideas.com.au

Dirty Days

Bicycle SA has partnered with Forestry SA to deliver this mountain bike series featuring three of the state’s fantastic forests in the Adelaide hills.

The Dirty Days three ride series increases in difficulty over the series to help you improve your mountain bike skill level and fitness. Each ride day has three different route lengths which means you will be able to choose the distance that suits your level of fitness. Participants are welcome to take part in the complete series or come along to individual Dirty Days events.

It’s really easy to get involved in Dirty Days, you really only have to get there, cycle and go home again. The routes are all marked and signed so you won’t get lost and the longer routes have a rest stop with refreshments available so you don’t need to worry about carrying food or a bucket load of water. We also have mechanical support which can be called out to your location if you run into mechanical problems.

We’d love to see more kids on bikes so we also have Family routes which will be a good test and a taste of mountain biking for the younger ones in the family.

DATES:

Sunday, July 1 – Mt Crawford Forest

Sunday, August 12 – Kuitpo Forest

Sunday, September 16 – Cudlee Creek Forest
