2018 Rascals & Ratbags Roadshow comes to the Adelaide!

You’re invited to mint your way to mischief on the Royal Australian Mint’s 2018 Rascals & Ratbags Roadshow. The national tour marks 150 years since the convict era and will be landing in Adelaide on Saturday 18 August 2018.

To celebrate the contribution of the convicts to Australia’s history, heritage and folklore, the Mobile Mint Team will be setting up a pop-up shop at Rundle Mall, Adelaide.

Join in the fun and strike your very own commemorative Rascals & Ratbags $1 coin, swap coins or cash for freshly minted and special circulating coins, plus browse new products from the Mint. Be sure to meet some of the characters from Australia’s past when the Rascals & Ratbags Roadshow comes your way. In 2018, the Mint’s convict era themed products bring to life remarkable tales from this period, from Ned Kelly’s dad to an ancestor of PM Kevin Rudd and even a cannibal. These tales share actions of the convicts that helped create the nation we are today.
