Christmas Carols & Markets

The Minda & Bank SA Christmas Carols & Markets are returning in 2018, bigger and better than ever! There will be plenty of entertainment for the whole family, with Adelaide’s best food trucks and amusements including the tea cups ride, climbing wall, petting zoo, bumper cars, bouncy castle, face painting and of course, SANTA!

The highlight of this years event is our Christmas market, with over 30 stall holders selling a range of quality items such as Christmas gifts, home wares, candles, gardening and outdoor accessories, children’s and adults clothing, toys and jewelry.

Entry via gold coin donation, with parking available on site for $5. The event is licensed BYO.

The Minda and BankSA Christmas Carols and Markets is run by Minda for the benefit of South Australians with disability and their families.

SA Music Hall Of Fame 2018 Inductions

South Australian Music Hall of Fame Inductions Friday 2nd November at The German Club, Adelaide.

On Friday November 2nd 2018 five legends of South Australian music will be inducted into the South Australian Hall of Fame. This includes 60’s rock legends The Twilights (feat. Glenn Shorrock), Bobby Bright: singer and guitarist from 60’s singing duo Bobby & Laurie , James Black: leading Melbourne based session musician from Mondo Rock, Men at Work, Russell Morris “The Real Thing” and his ongoing appearances as house band leader of the RocKwiz Orchestra; Rob Pippan: musical director, lead guitarist, promoter & founding member of Zep Boys, Laurie Pryor (Posthumously): drumming prodigy from John E. Broome and the Handels, The Twilights & Healing Force.

Kiss Alive II Rocks The Tiv

Rock music is returning to ‘THE TIV’, and its all to help youth in the country areas of SA!!

For a couple of decades KISS ALIVE have been re-creating the Kiss experience. These guys are 110% committed to stay true to what the original Kiss performance is all about… rock’n hard, wearing the 70′ Kiss costumes, and ‘Gene’ breathing fire & spitting blood!

On Saturday the 20th October 2018, they will be bringing their incredible show to what is an iconic venue in the history of live music in Australia, the Tivoli Hotel. Since the early 2000’s, when the original stage was removed, the sound of rock has been absent from this incredible venue. The Southern Slugs Aussie Rules Football Club and Kiss Alive II are bringing rock back to ‘The Tiv’!!  Come Be A Part Of SA Rock History!!

The show includes an appearance by author, speaker and media personality, Glenn “The Bolt” Manton!!
All proceeds from this show go to fund the Glenn Manton 2019 Country SA Youth Tour. Glenn has the knack of being able to communicate incredibly with young people. Most importantly, the message that he brings to young people challenges and inspires them!

Charity Night

Oakden Salvation Army is holding a charity night to raise money for the Red Shield Appeal.  Feature artist is Michele Thredgold, an accomplished singer/keyboardist, who’s been totally blind since birth.  There will be a variety of talent which should lean towards a good night out for the whole family.

Mostly Music @ Malvern – Swing along with the Adelaide Big Band

Mostly Music @ Malvern is pleased to present The Adelaide Big Band at its next 1st Sunday of the month concert at 2pm on August 5th.

Come along and join Bill Parton and the Adelaide Big Band in an afternoon of well-loved big-band swing music.

Hear you favourites, tap your toes, even swing in the aisles.

Wind back the clock, this band is great and you’ll love their music.

 

Mostly Music @ Malvern concerts are held in the beautiful ambience of the Malvern Uniting Church to provide opportunities for members of the public to hear a varied range of quality music by professional and amateur musicians. Afternoon tea after the concert is included in the very modest admission.  Any funds, after expenses, are used to repair and upgrade the church pipe organ, along with other church upgrade projects and other outreach activities.

Admission is available at the door $20 adults, $15 seniors/concession holders and $5 children under 12. A delicious afternoon tea in the adjoining hall after the concert is included.
