MARION ART GROUP MEETS SALA

Marion Art Group is holding an art exhibition EVERY SUNDAY IN AUGUST from midday to 4pm at the Marino Community Hall, 44 Newland Ave., Marino. There is a fantastic selection of framed, unframed and miniature paintings for sale. Devonshire tea available for $5. Painting demonstrations throughout the afternoon. There is also a raffle (three paintings up for graps), all proceeds to Diabetes SA.  FREE entry. Everyone is welcome. We look forward in seeing you there is Sunday 12 August. Tjungu Pakani – Music Workshop

Part of the acclaimed multi-lingual Central Australian Womens’ Choir, the Titjikala Womens’ Choir enjoys a rich choral tradition that celebrates their traditional and Lutheran heritage through performance in Pitjantjatjara. In this workshop, the Titjikala women will instruct participants on how to sing various choir songs in Pitjantjatjara.

The workshop is held as part of ‘Tjungu Pakani: Together We Rise’ – a series of workshops held by the Titjikala Women’s Choir, culminating in a performance at the opening of an exhibition at the Ayers House Museum to celebrate cultural diversity.
