The Met presents Cole Porter’s “High Society”

Meet Tracy Lord, the society darling, as she prepares for her wedding to the rich (but incredibly dull) George Kittredge. By all accounts it should be the wedding of the year, however things don’t quite go as planned!

With a grumpily precocious little sister causing a scene, the unexpected return of her despised ex-husband, Dexter and drunken old Uncle Willie’s wandering hands – the event seems destined for disaster.

To complicate matters and further add to the chaos, two snooping reporters threaten to expose a family scandal in a dubious gossip magazine.

As if things couldn’t get any worse, Tracy finds herself the focus of three potential suitors. Will she go through with the wedding as planned? Will true love prevail? Will the family scandal be exposed? It all makes for a hilariously entertaining snapshot of the lives of the rich and famous.

Assistance Dogs Australia Adelaide Graduation

Assistance Dogs Australia are hosting their first-ever South Australian graduation ceremony. And it’s a ceremony with a difference. Have you ever seen a dog in a mortar board?

A national, not-for-profit organisation, Assistance Dogs Australia trains Labradors and Golden Retrievers. Then they place them free of charge to  people with disabilities. The dogs allow their clients to enjoy much greater freedom and independence.

The South Australian graduating teams of dogs and clients will include Physical Disability, Dementia and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Assistance Dogs.

Join them to celebrate the wonderful achievements of their newly qualified Super Pups — and the special people who have dedicated their time, talent and love throughout the two-year journey to help them become fully qualified Assistance Dogs

Assistance Dogs Ambassador and client Tim McCallum (of ‘The Voice’ fame) will not only MC the event but will entertain the audience and guests with his amazing voice.

But the stars of the show will undoubtedly be the dogs and their clients who will appear on stage with Tim to talk about their experiences. That’s the people, not the dogs!

Expect a joyous, life-affirming afternoon of laughter, music and perhaps a few tears…

These dogs don’t just change lives, they give people their lives back.
