T’Arts

Something a bit different from Fringe, Adelaide Arcades T’Arts is celebrating their 21st Birthday with an event this Sunday, 3rd March.

On Sunday, 3 March, T’Arts will be celebrating 21 years since the opening of the T’Arts gallery. Almost 21 years ago, two artists had the desire to showcase their textile art in art galleries. However, most of the galleries were either uninterested or could only provide wall space which was unsuitable for scarves, shawls, and wearable art. As a result, the two artists decided to establish their own gallery. It took 12 months of hard work, a good idea, and tons of passion for the two artist friends to bring together a group of artists, including textile artists, to form the Textile & Arts Collective, also known as T’Arts Collective. That was back in 2003.

Today, T’Arts is a not-for-profit organisation managed and operated by 34 members, 31 of whom are from South Australia. It has been running successfully for 21 years with strong sales and an increasingly high profile.

The birthday celebration will take place at T’Arts on Sunday, 3 March, from 1pm to 4pm. Where art lovers can join them for some champagne, nibbles and, of course, birthday cake! It will also be a great opportunity to meet all of the wonderful artists and have a shop.

T’Arts is located at Shop 10G in Gay’s Arcade (Adelaide Arcade).
