Tasting Australia: STORYTELLERS – HEIDI BJERKAN

Behind every special eating and drinking experience there’s a story. Be inspired by masters of their craft as they share captivating tales from the kitchen and beyond. 

Hosting the series will be South Australian food identity Mandy Hall, a former MasterChef Australia finalist who today combines presenting roles with recipe and product development. Join her in a warm, casual setting to learn more about familiar names.   
 
World-renowned Heidi Bjerkan comes to Tasting Australia from Norway, where her restaurant Credo holds both a Michelin star and a Michelin Green Star for its commitment to sustainability. Diners covet Bjerkan’s creative and delicately balanced dishes, with all ingredients traceable and used to their full potential. Portraits of cows that supply milk to the kitchen adorn the restaurant walls – a way for diners to share a farm experience.  
 
Winner of the inaugural Michelin Guide Sustainability Award 2019, Bjerkan and her team feature a range of fermented ingredients across signature dishes. Local community has been a focus since Credo opened in 1998, with critics saying the restaurant is today better than ever.
