The King of Comedy

Kyle Legacy: The King of Comedy
7pm, The Cranny @ The Producers
Until March 18th
★★★★
With performances reliant on audience participation, you’re often faced with bit of a mixed bag. Fortunately, for us sweet few in the audience on that warm Thursday night in March, we were lucky to be in the right place, at the right time. Legacy’s show, which I gather on ‘regular’ nights, comprises of some skits and high-quality banter, instead became a surprise, nostalgic, Liverpudlian reunion, a lesson in how small the world is, and a fevered blue-sky, brainstorming session on the best possible vignettes for Legacy and his show.
In lieu of a ‘proper’ review, here’s what we came up with:
• The Steven Gerrard of comedy
• Soft features
• Didn’t spit
• 6’ 1’’ and tonnes of fun (note: must account for hair height)
• Vaguely muscular
• Riff extravaganza
You’re welcome, Kyle.
